🏘️ Celebrating Wins in Cabin Neighborhoods

​Shani Graham in Perth hosted a massive house concert for around 50 West Beacy Bunch neighbors and friends. Here’s Shani: “It’s not too stressful because I delegate lots of jobs - chair set up, cuppa station, name tags, sweeping the floor at the end (we never bother at the beginning), and putting the chairs away. Everyone brings a snack to share at intermission. Tim and I just organise the musicians and sell tickets. It is always a special night - you get to see some great music up close and personal and the musos get an attentive audience.”

The Spy Pond Neighborhood in Boston just had a great gathering. Here’s Grin on how it went: “Just got home from this bbq potluck. Win 1: it was fun, we had a great turnout, and people kept hanging out even though it got quite cold. Win 2: I didn’t host it, my neighbor did!” Grin’s planting the flag for this to be a monthly gathering and we love to see it.

​Kseniya in Castro Valley, CA couldn’t wait to join the next accelerator cohort (slated for January), so she got to work now. Here’s what she had to say: “Just had my very first gathering for neighbors. I went door to door on either side of our block. Had folks from about 20 households come out for apple cider and cookies! And many said they lived here decades and never had anyone organize a get together. It feels like a very promising first event. I wish more people with younger kids (like mine) lived on the block, but I plan to keep canvassing outward for future events, see who I find.” You go, Kseniya!

⛰️ Kaela Atleework joins Cabin Labs

We are thrilled to share that Kaela Atleework is joining Cabin Labs as the Content and Community Growth Lead to help grow Cabin's network of neighborhoods and the Neighborhood Accelerator program. She has worked in community facilitation and growth across 20+ countries and is the founder Montaia Basecamp, a regenerative coliving space that started one of Cabin’s first neighborhoods. In her new role, Kaela is passionate about supporting the Neighborhood Accelerator program with storytelling that reflects Cabin’s mission, bringing neighbors closer through genuine connection, and empowering them to build supportive, lasting networks. She will also support the Neighborhood Accelerator's curriculum and experience design and develop outreach strategies that strengthen the impact of our neighborhood focused programs.

🗳️ New DAO contributor proposals are live

​Savannah Kruger has submitted a proposal to grow Cabin’s network to 100 neighborhoods by November 2025. The proposal builds on her work leading the Neighborhood Accelerator Program and includes plans to expand the program’s reach and impact. Check out her reflections on the program so far. Get involved in the conversation by chiming in on the forum post and attending the community call on the proposal Savannah’s hosting this Friday at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT.

​Dahveed Kieve and Katya Metelkova just posted a proposal for The Ideation Pod in the Cabin orum. They aim to create a rapid prototyping incubator where anyone with a Cabin-related idea can spend one month building a team and putting together a strong, clear proposal to the DAO for a 3-month funded trial run. Check out the full proposal and share your thoughts with them!

📧 New feature: contact Cabin members in your area

You can now contact other Cabin members directly through the app at cabin.city! From the Census, you can find other Cabin community members in your area. On their profile page, you can hit the "Contact" button to send a message. They will receive an email and you'll be off to the races meeting people locally. Get started now on cabin.city:
